Nisha Padmanabhan is The University of Sydney's Chief Risk Officer. Previously, she held the position of Chief Risk Officer at The Salvation Army, Australia Eastern Territory, and occupied various leadership roles at BPAY, Macquarie Group Limited, Insurance Australia Group, and Ernst & Young. Nisha currently serves as an independent director and Chair of the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee at ANROWS (Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety), an independent organisation established to produce evidence supporting the reduction of violence against women and children.
Throughout her career, Nisha has also held several non-executive and advisory positions in not-for-profit organizations, including Baptist World Aid Australia, The Salvation Army Australia Eastern Territory, and Habitat for Humanity Australia. She has successfully applied leading risk management principles to define and achieve strategies and missions that benefit society.
